Manual Lymphatic Drainage

$150 for 60 Minutes
$225 for 90 Minutes

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is an extremely light form of massage that specifically targets the Lymphatic System. Our Lymphatic System plays a pivotal role in our immune system by detecting threat from bacteria and infection and triggering an immune response to eliminate these threats. The Lymphatic System filters cellular waste products from everyday life, much like a garbage disposal. It also works like a highway system in that you must clear the central artery before focusing on the smaller roads that lead to and away from it.

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a technique that utilizes gentle pulling on the skin and superficial fascia to help facilitate the normal flow of lymph fluid, which eliminates cellular debris from the body. MLD targets either a non-intact, or an overflowed lymphatic system to filter lymph fluid and return it to the circulatory system, where it is ultimately eliminated through urination.

MLD is used for people with Lymphedema, post-surgical edema, post-traumatic edema, fibromyalgia, chronic inflammation, Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), seasonal allergies, migraine headaches, and much more. In the treatment of Lymphedema, MLD is used to reroute the edema around the effected areas with blocked or removed lymph nodes. MLD creates connections and reroutes the edema to intact areas with healthy lymphatic vessels that are more equipped to drain the edema to venous circulation and eventually be eliminated.

Both Megan and Britt are trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Contact us directly if you have any questions regarding MLD practice and if it is right for you.
